Ann Coulter and Single Parents

I’ve been reading blog and after blog that has consistently misquoted and assumed much about Ann Coulter’s latest tomb, “Guilty:  Liberal “Victims” and Their Assault on America”.  I must admit, I, too, dislike Ann’s tone and delivery.  The truth is, it gets her an outstanding paycheck and we’d all be lying if we said we didn’t understand that.  It doesn’t excuse it, but it does, in fact, explain it.

With all that being said, most of what she says in the book simply can’t be argued with, regardless of if that hurts your feelings or not.  Ann doesn’t blast widowed mothers, and merely holds divorcees up to the light so they can see themselves.  Most people DO get married too soon and most people get divorced just as quickly without really thinking about their kids and what they’re putting them through.  OH!  They CLAIM to, but the truth is they “just couldn’t put up with him/her anymore”.   Again, whether that hurts your feelings or not, it’s the truth.  And neither Ann nor myself are referring to women who are abused, so don’t pull that card.

The facts are that her book is more specifically referring to women who spread their legs and then act like they can’t imagine how this happened.  Pregnancy isn’t a virus!  You didn’t “catch” being pregnant.  These women entered into a volitional act with men who weren’t their husbands and don’t owe them one single thing.  THEN they pretend like they are somehow a “victim”.  Back on planet Earth, we refer to them as sluts and whores. Especially these women who have 3 and 4 kids with multiple men they have never been married to.

No one, not even the morons on The View, could argue her statistics and facts.  The best they had was the she was “mean”.  Ummm….yeah, whatever.  I’d much rather someone be mean than get a free ride by popping out illigitimate children for tax payers money to support.  The facts are, if you can’t afford a child, you shouldn’t be allowed to keep that child.  What right do these women have to screw around and then expect to be “kept” by the American taxpayer?

First of all, if they can find their way down to the local DSS office to collect welfare, food stamps and apply for Section 8 housing, then they can sure as hell head over to the health department for condoms and birth control.  After all, those are provided free of charge at the expense of the taxpayer, as well.  The only difference is, you don’t get to pretend to be a “victim”.  You actually have to work for everything else you have.  Novel thought  to some, I know.

Can anyone really argue that the traditional family isn’t the better route as they defend these poor, unwed mothers who “somehow” found themselves pregnant?  They teach sex education in the SIXTH grade now.  They didn’t somehow find themselves pregnant.  They slept with some guy and he knocked her up.  SURPRISE!

And to all the “What about the Dad’s responsibility?” criers…Look, most men will sleep with anyone of fairly decent aesthetics that can form a cohesive sentence and we all know it.  Sorry, guys…we’ve seen you at Spring Break.  Unless they are your husband they don’t owe you ANYTHING and you know that going in.  Pro-choicers can’t have it both ways.  Either it’s a woman’s body and HER choice, or it’s not.  Since we all know that the court’s have now ruled that it IS her choice, then my suggestion would be that she should act like it.  You CHOSE to have sex with your body, now take some responsibility for it.

If you can’t afford that child, then do it a favor and give it to someone who can not only afford but would love it.  Love is a verb, not a noun.  Act like you love your kid and quit being a statistic.  I’ve read so many comments on blogs today about people who “know” a single mother and she’s a great person.  Really?  Why don’t you let their kid determine that, you don’t live with them.  Have you ever been hungry?  Have you ever read the statistics on how many single parent run-aways there are?  Or how many prison inmates come from single family homes?  If not, then hush…you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.  TRY to get some knowledge and not be led around by your heart that is, obviously, able to be swayed by anyone’s sob story.

Single mothers, not divorcees or widows, are  NOT victims.  Their children are the victims and it’s time that America takes a stand on this.  It’s time that Americans stop acting like this is fine and these poor, poor women are doing the “best they can”.  No, they’re not.  They could have kept their legs closed and made a different choice.  Please quit acting like they had no choice, because they did or every woman would be a single mom, correct?  It’s a choice, so they are NOT victims.

I don’t agree with most of what Ann Coulter says, but she hit this one on the head.  It’s time that we stop being so politically correct that we can’t look a woman in the eye who has 3 or 4 kids by multiple men, whom they’ve never been married to, and call them what they are:  whores and free loaders.  They are not victims, they are making victims out of their children and the American people.  It’s time to grow a pair and call them on it.

What I think of PETA…

PETA is one of those groups that have found that incredible place in an organizations existence that provides them the opportunity to be as idiotic as they want to be.  They can throw paint on someones personal belongings and no one really blinks anymore. They can post those ridiculous naked posters all around town pronouncing that they’d rather go naked than wear fur.  As though anyone gives a crap what the members of PETA wear.  Their absolute willingness to make fools of themselves are probably the ONLY thing I admire about them.  I’ll give you some shining examples of PETA’s brilliance…

A few years ago, that paragon of virtue, Pamela Anderson Lee Rock (whatever Kid Rock’s last name is) Solomon or whatever she’s going by now, led a group in LA to raise 1,000,000.00 dollars to spay or neuter the homeless animals running around the County.  Doesn’t that make you want to say….HUH?  One more time:  They raised one million dollars to “fix” animals that nobody wanted.

Let me tell you what I think they should do with those animals.  I think they should breed them like freakin’ rabbits.  Yep!  Then, let’s ship the little buggers over to Africa as dog stew. After all, when you’re starving, I’m sure it tastes like chicken.  This kills two birds with one stone.  The stray animal population is under control in LA, cause we all know that’s a big deal!, and the people in Africa are getting fed.  OH!  Hey, there may be a third reason this is good, too.  It would give Obama less of an excuse to send our tax dollars over there to the tune of billions and billions of dollars in this last bill he’s trying to get passed.  WOW!  Even I almost missed that third benefit.

And all that dog stew would sit well with the rest of the world, too. See, they all eat dog and cat. Or, quite a few of them do.  So while PETA would gripe and complain about it, they may very well have to put on their big people underwear and shut up.  The rest of the world would begin to respect us again.  All because of those dogs nobody else wanted anyway.

One of the funniest members of PETA’s esteemed list of celebrities is Leo DiCaprio.  What a complete idiot.  He fits right in, I’m sure.  While Leo was dining in a restaurant in Kentucky he became very upset about the poor lobsters trapped in the lobster tank.  He could see them from his table and they must have been calling to him.

Not long after entering the restaurant, Leo gets up and races to the lobster tank.  He then proceeds to grab some of the lobsters and hurry outside  where our brilliant actor then releases the lobsters to “freedom”.  After all, don’t lobsters deserve to be free?  I’d say that’s questionable to me and the lobsters.  After all, he was in Kentucky and I hear suffocation is a bad way to go.  Wonder if Leo made his penance with the gods of PETA?

You know, I think we have countless other things to worry about and spend millions of dollars on other than saving baby seals or minks. Don’t get me wrong.  I don’t mind making sure that animals aren’t burned or tortured. That’s just sick.  I think the Michael Vick’s of the world will get theirs.  But, I’d say the members of PETA should really prioritize a little.

And a note of warning to all PETA members:  If you ever throw paint on MY fur coats, you better darn well be ready to pay the consequences of your actions.  Those consequences would entail ripping your hair out by the roots and dragging your naked butt down the street.  My personal property is mine and I’ll defend it whether you like it or not.  It’s the same as keying or damaging someones car or home and they are way out of control. A little perspective wouldn’t hurt them, I’d think.

While America’s economy goes down the tubes, straight to the pockets of OPEC, I think there’s bigger things to worry about than wearing fur.  I think the caribou may have to get over it when that Alaskan pipeline opens.  Or not.  And if PETA chooses to stand and block the way, then they’ll have to face those consequences.  Frankly, I think the world would be a better place if we mowed one or two of them over.  Take one for the team folks, get out of the gene pool.

It’s time for America to begin to view things in the correct perspective.  Animals are so far down on the list, we may or may not get to them in this century or the next.  Deal with it.

General rantings of a Politically Incorrect Mom

I’m, politically, a human resource nightmare.  I’m sick unto death of political correctness.  It’s like a drug we’re continually injecting ourselves with, even though we know it’s killing us.

I’m tired of of all the media “truths”.  How about just plain old facts for a change?  We really aren’t so stupid that we can’t decide what’s best for each one of us. Regardless of what the government and media tell us. Right?

I’m tired of having to tip toe around the “N” word as though it’s some holy grail that signifies who someone is.  Doesn’t anyone remember Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech?  He said he wanted his kids to “not” be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.  Doesn’t anyone see the “not” in that sentence.   Do you really believe that he would approve of black people calling one another “nigga”?  I think he’d be appalled and ashamed.  It’s that very thing that he wanted to avoid.

That statement implies, quite clearly, that what he invisioned was a world where skin color was no longer an issue. Certainly not how you define yourself.  After all, what exactly is “owning your blackness” or “white pride”?  Considering that you had nothing to do with it, I’d say that’s pretty stupid.  After all, isn’t pride by it’s actual definition something that you personally accomplished?  How’d you have anything to do with your color?  Hmmm……

And another thing, what’s up with being Latin-American, African-American, Asian-American or anything other than being plain old American?  Isn’t that supposed to be a good thing?

We live in the wealthiest, strongest, and most powerful nation in the world.  With all the opportunities we have, who wouldn’t be proud of that?  Obviously, quite a few.

What’s up with illegals coming here and eating for free off my money.  I’m not a charity and don’t want the government using my money they forcefully take from me to make me one.  It’s about time something was done about that.

What’s up with not being able to ask someone’s citizenship status?  If you’re here legally, then what’s the problem? Isn’t being here illegally still a crime?   Do you have to ask someone if they can be arrested for robbery if they’re stealing from a business?  I didn’t think so.  So why should we not be able to ask if someone is here legally and not a criminal?  It makes no sense at all.  And yet, most people are swallowing that jagged little pill and not saying a word.

I think it’s time that we have a Revolution.  A genuine, overthrowing of the politically correct junk that’s infiltrating our nation.  If that includes the government, then so be it.  If they won’t listen to the people and what we want, then the Constitution provides for us to change it ourselves.  It’s about time that we do.
